Direct Care Worker - In Home Care

About This Role

Support older adults and individuals with physical and/or intellectual disabilities as an Independent Contracted Direct Care Worker. This role offers autonomy and flexibility to build a schedule coordinating visits based on availability and individual needs, helping community members lead fulfilling, independent lives at home.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in defining and achieving personal goals to improve daily quality of life
• Provide emotional companionship and assist with essential household tasks such as meal preparation, grooming, laundry, and light housekeeping
• Monitor medical, nutritional, and personal care needs to ensure the well-being of those served

Requirements

• Reliability and excellent time management skills
• Effective communication skills with clear, timely updates and confident questioning
• Commitment to treating every person with respect and fostering an inclusive environment
• Positive, 'can-do' attitude and willingness to go the extra mile
• Minimum age of 18 years
• Ability to meet all Arizona state provider requirements, including a comprehensive background check
• Class 1 Fingerprint Clearance
• Ability to complete all state-mandated training courses
