Dining Room Supervisor

About This Role

Supervise front-of-house dining operations at Cedric's Tavern, ensuring Biltmore's service and management philosophies are met. This role involves staff supervision, scheduling, and delivering world-class dining experiences for guests.

Responsibilities

• Supervise "front of house" dining operations in accordance with Biltmore standards
• Execute and maintain Biltmore service and management philosophies
• Ensure standards are met or exceeded
• Supervise staff and assist with performance management
• Assist with scheduling staff
• Deliver unique and memorable world-class dining experiences for guests
• Serve as "manager on duty" in absence of the Restaurant Manager
• Provide general assistance and support for the team, department, leadership, and the company
• Handle escalated guest service recovery; resolve guest complaints
• Facilitate communication between front/back of house to provide seamless service

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Two (2) years related experience in a comparable full-service restaurant
• Demonstrated commitment to delivering world class internal/external guest service
• Proven leadership skills; ability to motivate and develop staff
• Outstanding interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
• Ability to handle a variety of guest service situations in a manner consistent with Biltmore standards
• Strong organizational skills with attention to details and service
• Proactive with good judgment; problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Proficiency in Word and Excel

Qualifications

• High school diploma required. Additional education and/or certification(s) preferred.
• Minimum two (2) years related experience in a comparable full-service restaurant.

Nice to Have

• Additional education and/or certification(s)
• Prior experience in an upscale hotel/resort/attraction
• Knowledge of wine and cordials
