About This Role

Provide medical nutrition therapy to clients at Southeast Missouri Mental Health Center by assessing dietary needs, creating nutrition plans, and offering consultation for healthier lifestyles and diet-related health management.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical nutrition therapy
• Assess and analyze dietary needs
• Create nutrition and diet plans based on client health needs as directed by doctors
• Provide consultation to clients on leading healthier lifestyles
• Prevent and manage health issues related to diet
• Participate in health improvement clinics

Requirements

• Licensure as a Dietitian
• Knowledge of the principles and practices of dietetics and nutrition
• Knowledge of food service systems management
• Ability to complete nutritional assessments
• Ability to develop recipes and plan menus
• Ability to interpret and follow doctors’ orders in the preparation of special diets
