Deli Manager

About This Role

Manage deli operations within a convenience store ensuring compliance with company policies, health standards, and maximizing profitability. This role involves team leadership, customer service, inventory management, and financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Ensure overall store conditions comply with company policies, procedures, and state/federal laws
• Create and foster a guest and sales focused environment
• Manage food services in accordance with Department of Health and Company Standards
• Order products, count inventory, create, and adhere to build-tos and planograms
• Maintain inventory and waste levels based on company standards
• Plan and prepare work schedules and ensure shift coverage
• Analyze financial data to identify business opportunities and increase sales/profitability
• Manage food cost at required levels and follow approved portioning procedures
• Oversee and assist in preparing food items per required menus and recipes
• Conduct daily and weekly safety inspections of food service equipment
• Recruit, hire, train, and coach team members to develop top performers
• Evaluate and take disciplinary actions on violations of company policies
• Maintain a neat personal appearance in accordance with company policy

Requirements

• At least 18 years old
• Minimum of one year of retail, fast food, or sales management experience
• Food Handlers Certification
• Food Safety Certification
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Proven success developing team members
• Demonstrated ability to use P&L and store reports
• Proficient computer knowledge (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)

Qualifications

• Two-year degree or above is strongly preferred
• Minimum of one year of retail, fast food, or sales management experience is required
