The Deli Team Member is responsible for preparing and serving fresh, high-quality food, ensuring adherence to brand standards and food safety. This role provides exceptional customer service and supports the efficient operation of the deli.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, prompt service while preparing food per recipes and brand standards
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary food prep and service area
- Follow all food safety, handling, and cash-handling procedures
- Stock, rotate, and display products to ensure freshness and appeal
- Assist with vendor deliveries, sales promotions, and suggestive selling
- Report safety concerns or customer issues to management
- Maintain punctuality, proper uniform, and a professional appearance
Requirements
- Ability to stand during the entire work shift
- Ability to work in a cooler at a temperature of 35 degrees for up to 30 minutes
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Visual acuity to check identification and process money orders
- Ability to tolerate gas fumes and cleaning products
- Ability to climb a ladder to clean windows
Qualifications
- Previous retail, food service, or customer service experience preferred
