Data Scientist

About This Role

As a Data Scientist for Transition Care Education, you will manage the full campaign portfolio, from ideation to implementation of member or provider engagement strategies to reduce readmissions after health events. This role leverages machine learning, statistics, and decision intelligence to deliver practical insights and measurable results, contributing to a more connected and compassionate health experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and execute algorithms and predictive models to investigate problems, detect patterns, and recommend solutions
• Explore, examine, and interpret large volumes of data in various forms
• Perform analyses of structured and unstructured data to solve moderately complex business problems
• Utilize advanced statistical techniques and mathematical analyses
• Develop data structures and pipelines to organize, collect, and standardize data that helps generate insights and addresses reporting needs
• Use data visualization techniques to effectively communicate analytical results and support business decisions
• Create and evaluate the data needs of assigned projects and assure the integrity of the data
• Explore existing data and recommend additional sources of data for improvements
• Document projects including business objectives, data gathering and processing, detailed set of results, and analytical metrics

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in advanced analytics, experiment design, applied AI/ML
• Proficient programming skills in Python and SQL
• Experience managing large and complex analytical projects from data exploration, model building, program evaluation and testing
• Strong communication and storytelling skills to present complex data insights
• Experience working in cross-functional teams/work groups

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree Data Science, Advanced Analytics, Population Health Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Physics, Engineering, or related discipline
• 1+ years of experience in advanced analytics, experiment design, applied AI/ML.

Nice to Have

• Experience in designing and deploying data science solutions in member/consumer engagement environment
• Knowledge of healthcare industry, understanding Medicaid
• Strong interest in improving outcomes through interventions/campaigns
