Data Center Technician

About This Role

This is a long-term contract opportunity within a Data Center Operations (DCEO) team, where you will be responsible for the build-out and support of production NVIDIA Data Centers, including rack and stack, bench testing, and advanced troubleshooting of servers.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot a variety of servers and isolate hardware problems
• Order and install replacement parts, returning defective components to vendors
• Update firmware on servers to ensure the latest versions
• Configure IP addresses and default login credentials on servers
• Assist network administrators with server issues, including cable management, port changes, and optics replacement
• Temporarily rack, stack, and cable servers or switches for remote configuration by network administrators
• Provide specific assistance to network administrators regarding servers or switches
• Assist with Level 1 responsibilities such as rack and stack for deployments

Requirements

• Experience with data center operations
• Proficiency in rack and stack procedures
• Troubleshooting skills for servers and network issues
• Ability to troubleshoot independently and isolate logical issues using Linux
• Experience with hardware installation and maintenance (e.g., Cat6 cabling)
