As a Customer Service Representative, you will assist patients with check-ins at a fast-paced hospital setting, collecting accurate information while addressing their concerns with compassion and efficiency. This role is a starting point for a healthcare career, teaching you everything needed to succeed.
Responsibilities
- Work with computers and answer phones to intake patient information in a busy environment
- Navigate multiple screens to collect and input patient details accurately, coordinating with physician and nurse check-ins
- Interact with patients who may be ill or worried, offering compassionate listening to ease anxiety
- Ask follow-up questions and build rapport in real time with patients
- Work quickly on your feet assisting patients with registration, including varying health plans and coverage
- Learn through training to understand variations in health plans and coverage
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Excellent customer service experience
- Ability to multi-task and learn technology quickly
- Proficient typing and phone answering skills
- Up-to-date on all vaccinations
- Pass a drug test
- Pass a background check
