This role is a Customer Service Representative specializing in Patient Registration, responsible for helping patients check into the hospital by accurately collecting information and providing compassionate support during the registration process to ease anxieties.
Responsibilities
- Work on computers and answer phones to intake information in a busy environment.
- Operate across multiple screens, inputting details correctly between physician and nurse check-ins.
- Be prepared for interruptions from clinicians for emergent clinical care.
- Help patients who may be very ill or worried by listening carefully and easing their anxiety.
- Ask follow-up questions and build rapport in real-time.
- Work quickly and expect the unexpected in a fast-paced environment, often on your feet assisting patients.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Excellent customer service experience
- Up to date on all vaccinations
- Pass a drug test
- Pass a background check
