Customer Service Representative - Patient Registration

About This Role

This role involves assisting patients with hospital check-ins, collecting accurate information, and providing compassionate support during the registration process, working in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Work on computers and answer phones to intake patient information in a busy environment
• Work across multiple screens, inputting details between physician and nurse check-ins
• Work around clinicians interrupting the registration process for emergent clinical care
• Help people who may be very ill or worried by listening carefully to ease their anxiety
• Ask follow-up questions and build rapport in real time
• Work quickly and expect the unexpected in a fast-paced environment
• Assist patients complete their registration while often on your feet

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to multi-task confidently
• Quick study with technology
• Ability to type and answer phones
• Up to date on all vaccinations
• Pass a drug test
• Pass a background check

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• No previous healthcare experience required; entry-level position.
