Serve as a Customer Service Representative specializing in Patient Registration, helping patients check into the hospital quickly and with compassion. This role involves accurate data intake and providing support to ease patient anxieties during a fast-paced registration process.
Responsibilities
- Work on computers and answer phones to intake patient information in a busy environment
- Work across multiple screens, accurately collecting details between physician and nurse check-ins
- Comfortably work across multiple programs and type quickly as patients talk
- Assist patients who may be ill or worried by listening carefully and easing anxiety
- Ask follow-up questions and build rapport in real time
- Work quickly, often on your feet, assisting patients with registration
- Gain knowledge through training on variations in health plans and coverage
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Excellent customer service experience
- Confidential multi-tasker
- Quick study with technology
- Ability to type and answer phones
- Prepared to see illness and injuries
- Up to date on all vaccinations
