Custodian

About This Role

The Custodian is responsible for maintaining sanitation levels in and around company facilities. This role involves cleaning, trash removal, stocking supplies, and ensuring a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Clean terminal with hand brooms, power scrubbers, sweepers, and vacuum cleaners to meet company standards
• Remove all refuse from offices, restrooms, break-rooms and building daily, ensuring trash cans are empty and clean
• Ensure that restrooms are stocked with necessary supplies
• Relocate, move and adjust office furniture as necessary
• Ensure that pest control systems are operating efficiently and that the highest degree of sanitation and housekeeping is maintained
• Remove ice and snow from pedestrian walkways and parking lot(s)
• Maintain company grounds free from litter and debris
• Prepare company required reports on labor and equipment
• Maintain a log on the history of repairs by type of equipment
• Report any safety problems to the shift supervisor
