Custodian

About This Role

Maintain the cleanliness and order of the building and surrounding areas by performing various tasks including cleaning, sanitizing, and minor repairs.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and/or vacuum floors
• Remove clutter and dust furniture and surfaces
• Clean windows and mirrors
• Make minor repairs including replacing light bulbs
• Ensure proper disposal of trash and refuse, including emptying recycle bins
• Replenish restroom supplies
• Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment
• Complete minor maintenance related to appliances and/or grounds as needed
• Assist with set up and/or breakdown of events as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One (1) to two (2) years of custodial (or janitorial) experience
• Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, comprehensible manner, both verbally and in writing
• Excellent organization and PC/computer skills
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with other related software
• Access to reliable transportation

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One (1) to two (2) years of custodial (or janitorial) experience required

Nice to Have

• Valid driver's license, in good standing for the state of residency
• Valid IL statutory minimum liability insurance coverage, bodily injury and property damage
