About This Role

This part-time Custodian role at Fastenal involves maintaining the cleanliness of the distribution center, performing minor repairs, and contributing to a safe and healthy workplace environment. This position plays a key role in ensuring a clean and functional facility.

Responsibilities

  • Vacuuming, mopping, and other bathroom services
  • Performing minor repairs and painting at our facility
  • Disinfecting commonly touched surfaces like door handles, drinking fountains, counters and tables
  • Maintaining inventory supplies for cleaning and ordering products as needed
  • Complying with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectations
  • Participating in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety and sustainability objectives
  • Learning, passing and practicing various environmental health and safety trainings

Requirements

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organization, planning, and prioritizing abilities
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs
  • Pass the required drug screen
