About This Role

Perform general and specific cleaning and maintenance tasks in accordance with a detailed plan to maintain a clean, safe, and pleasant physical environment for the university community.

Responsibilities

• Perform general and specific cleaning and maintenance tasks
• Clean up to 28,000-35,000 square feet of cleanable space per eight-hour workday
• Utilize standard tools, equipment, materials, and supplies of the trade
• Observe all safety rules, regulations, and precautions
• Assist with snow and ice removal, water or fire damage cleanup, and special event support as assigned
• Communicate custodial and maintenance problems clearly to supervisor or Work Management Center
• Comply with attendance requirements and clock in/out on time

Requirements

• Ability to relate custodial and maintenance problems clearly to supervisor and/or Work Management Center
• Completion of a training program in building cleaning (required post-hire)

Qualifications

• HS or GED preferred
• One year of custodial work experience is preferred

Nice to Have

• High School Diploma or GED
• One year of custodial work experience
