Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical or medical procedures, monitoring their vital signs and reactions during and after anesthesia. This role at Atrium Health Union West involves a variety of cases including Cardiac, Peds, and OBGYN.
Responsibilities
- Administer intravenous, spinal, and other anesthetics prior to surgical or other medical procedures
- Monitor patients' reactions and vital signs during and after anesthesia
- Take remedial action when warranted post-anesthesia
- Submit postoperative report on patients' condition
- Maintain records of anesthetics administered
- Place spinal anesthetics
- Participate in committees and teaching opportunities for allied health care learners and SRNAs
Requirements
- NC RN licensure
- CRNA licensure
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nurse Anesthesia
- BLS certification from AHA
- ACLS certification from AHA
- PALS certification from AHA
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nurse Anesthesia
Nice to Have
- Experience in Cardiac, Peds, or OBGYN cases
- Interest in clinical training and teaching opportunities
