About This Role

Provide essential administrative and evidence custodian support to the Tok Post, assisting law enforcement personnel and the public while upholding the integrity of the criminal justice process.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the sole administrative support for the Tok Post, assisting the public, sergeant, and three (3) troopers
• Perform in-person and telephonic receptionist duties
• Accurately enter data into criminal databases
• Process criminal paperwork
• Collect fees and reconcile cash
• Ensure payroll is completed correctly and timely
• Order and maintain post supplies
• Receive, store, and manage property as evidence custodian
• Maintain chain of custody for all evidence including weapons, drugs, currency, sensitive documents, vehicles, and bio-hazards
• Manage and provide evidentiary discovery to the District Attorney's Office

Requirements

• Alaska residency
• Proficiency in chain of custody duties
• Attention to Detail
• Clerical skills (filing, typing, data entry, record maintenance)
• Computer skills (systems, software, databases)
• Organizational skills
• Customer service skills
• Experience working with and maintaining integrity of confidential information
• Ability to pass a fingerprint-based criminal history background check
