The Counter Sales Associate provides exceptional customer service, processes orders, and communicates product information to walk-in and phone customers. This role involves upselling and providing technical advice on products for a leading distributor in building materials.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service to walk-in, phone, and will-call customers
- Process orders, quote prices, and enter orders into the system
- Provide order information and pull orders as required
- Communicate product features, benefits, and warranty policy information to customers
- Demonstrate knowledge of products and their applications, including technical advice and troubleshooting
- Upsell by identifying related products, add-on extensions, and informing customers of product promotions
Nice to Have
- Demonstrated success providing excellent customer service
- Experience with sales order computer software, preferably Oracle
- Knowledge of workwear and PPE
