Conflicts Attorney

About This Role

The Conflicts Attorney will review conflict check reports and identify, analyze, advise on, and resolve potential conflicts of interest. This role involves working directly with attorneys to clear conflicts related to the hiring of new personnel and ensuring compliance with firm policies.

Responsibilities

• Review conflict check reports
• Identify potential conflicts of interest
• Analyze potential conflicts of interest
• Advise on potential conflicts of interest
• Resolve potential conflicts of interest
• Work directly with attorneys to clear conflicts related to new hires (partners, associates, paralegals, other firm hires)
• Ensure new hires are compliant with the Firm's conflicts and risk management policies and procedures

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate degree (JD)
• Active member of the Bar, in good standing, in the State of Colorado
• At least three (3) to ten (10) years of experience as a Lateral Conflicts Attorney in a large law firm setting with demonstrated research and complex problem-solving skills, or at least three (3) years of experience as a general Conflicts Attorney with one (1) year of cumulative experience related to the clearance of lateral hires
• Familiarity with the Rules of Professional Conduct
• Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive data
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Close attention to detail

• Self-motivated
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines

Qualifications
