Conflicts Attorney

About This Role

The Conflicts Attorney will review conflict check reports, identify, analyze, and resolve potential conflicts of interest for a full-service AmLaw 100 firm. This role involves working directly with attorneys to clear conflicts related to new hires and ensuring compliance with firm policies.

Responsibilities

• Review conflict check reports
• Identify potential conflicts of interest
• Advise, analyze, and resolve potential conflicts of interest
• Work directly with attorneys to clear conflicts related to hiring new partners, associates, paralegals, and other firm hires
• Ensure new hires are compliant with the Firm's conflicts and risk management policies and procedures

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate degree (JD)
• Active member of the Bar, in good standing, in the State of Washington
• At least 3 years of experience as a Conflicts Attorney in a large law firm setting, or experience with clearance of lateral hires
• Familiarity with the Rules of Professional Conduct
• Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive data
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Close attention to detail

• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate degree (JD)
• At least three (3) to ten (10) years of experience as a Lateral Conflicts Attorney in a large law firm setting with demonstrated research and complex problem-solving skills, or at least three (3) years of experience as a general Conflicts Attorney with one (1) year of cumulative experience related to the clearance of lateral hires
