About This Role

This Concierge role serves as the primary front-of-house contact for all external stakeholders and guests, ensuring a positive first impression and assisting the Community Leadership Team with administrative tasks to maintain smooth operations.

Responsibilities

  • Receive guests and visitors, ensuring they sign in
  • Assist visitors in finding resident rooms
  • Answer telephone, take messages including caller’s name, telephone number, time, and date of call, respond to requests, and forward information to staff members
  • Announce appointments and arrivals to appropriate staff
  • Type memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents as requested
  • Sort and distribute mail appropriately to mailboxes, residents, and departments as requested
  • Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis
  • Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent resident information to ensure resident rights are protected
  • Provide knowledge about community services and rates, offering tours and/or community information to families and prospective residents
  • Assemble and maintain admission and information packets
  • Keep front desk and lobby area neat and organized
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Business Office Manager or Executive Director

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language
  • Prior experience working with the public
  • Comfort with multi-line telephone systems
  • Good physical and mental health; PPD screening required
  • Interest in people, especially the geriatric population
  • Ability to work without close supervision and follow instructions.
  • Tact and courtesy in dealing with staff, residents, families and visitors
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Level-headed in emergency situations and acute sense of responsibility
  • Spirit of cooperation and enthusiasm
  • Willingness to attend mandatory company meetings and training sessions
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Prior experience in working with public.

Nice to Have

  • Basic computer skills
