About This Role

This Account Executive role manages and grows a commercial client portfolio, providing exceptional service and innovative insurance solutions. It involves identifying client needs, developing tailored solutions, and fostering long-term relationships in the commercial lines of business.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with clients and prospects
  • Identify new business opportunities and cross-sell additional products and services
  • Meet and exceed individual sales goals and revenue targets through account rounding and prospecting
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments and deliver customized insurance and total client solutions
  • Negotiate terms and coverage with underwriters and carriers
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support throughout the client lifecycle
  • Collect detailed risk and underwriting information including survey data and loss history
  • Develop and deliver formal proposals of insurance including details of coverage, limits, and deductibles
  • Collaborate with Account Manager to ensure complete company submissions and account service, including claims issues

Requirements

  • Ability to function independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects and teams effectively
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of understanding accounting or strong math skills
  • High degree of critical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt well to change in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office
  • Knowledge of Agency Management Systems (Applied Epic a plus)
  • Compliance with continuing education requirements for agent licensing and professional designations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or 5+ years commercial insurance experience or recognized equivalent
  • 5+ years commercial insurance experience
