CNC Grinder

About This Role

Join a well-established manufacturing shop as a skilled Machinist, operating and programming CNC machines, lathes, mills, and grinders. This role requires interpreting blueprints, applying precision measurement, and troubleshooting machining issues to produce high-quality parts.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain a variety of machines, including CNC machines, lathes, mills, grinders, and other equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the best approach for machining parts
• Use precision measurement tools to inspect and ensure parts meet the required specifications
• Program CNC machines for optimal performance, efficiency, and accuracy
• Assist with tooling and setup procedures, ensuring machines are prepared and ready for operation
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, maintaining a clean and safe work environment
• Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues, making necessary adjustments for optimal performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure production goals are met on time and within budget

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proficient in operating and programming CNC machines, lathes, mills, grinders, and other manufacturing equipment
• Solid understanding and experience with haas, zoller, and GD&T
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Expertise in precision measurement and tooling procedures
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment
• Physical stamina and strength, with the ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or vocational training in machining or a related field is preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically in a machinist role
