Clinical Supervisor

About This Role

This Clinical Supervisor will provide trauma-informed services for youth in foster care, overseeing clinical and administrative supervision of sociotherapists. The role ensures compliance with ACS and OCFS standards, guides treatment planning, and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical and administrative supervision to sociotherapists ensuring high-quality, compliant service delivery
• Oversee timely and appropriate responses to crises and high-risk situations involving children and youth
• Review and approve clinical documentation, behavior plans, and records in Connections to ensure ACS and OCFS compliance
• Conduct weekly individual supervision and monthly group supervision to support clinical practice and professional growth
• Lead trauma-informed practice through oversight of behavior plans, foster parent collaboration, and implementation of Sanctuary Model principles

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Social Work or a related clinical discipline
• 2+ years of supervisory experience within a child welfare or foster care setting
• Prior direct service experience with adolescents
• Strong knowledge of foster care practices, ACS and OCFS regulations, permanency planning, youth development, and mental health systems
• Working knowledge of Connections (New York State child welfare database)

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work or a related clinical discipline
• 2+ years of supervisory experience within a child welfare or foster care setting, plus prior direct service experience with adolescents
