Clinical Supervisor Med Surg

About This Role

This role provides shift-level oversight, clinical coordination, and operational support within a patient-care department. The Clinical Supervisor is accountable for care quality, patient safety, and team supervision while serving as a role model.

Responsibilities

• Provide shift leadership and oversee daily nursing operations
• Supervise nursing staff and provide direct patient care as needed
• Support safe, high-quality nursing care for patients and families
• Coach, mentor, and guide staff performance and professional development
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support comprehensive care delivery
• Apply sound staffing, human resource, and budget principles in daily operations
• Maintain compliance with clinical, safety, and regulatory standards

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Active RN license in the state of New Mexico
• BLS required
• ACLS required or obtainable within 6 months
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Strong leadership, communication, and clinical judgment skills

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred)

Nice to Have

• BSN preferred
• Additional certifications (PALS, NRP, TNCC, CPI) as applicable to department
