Clinical Counselor

About This Role

The Clinical Counselor applies counseling interventions and psychotherapeutic techniques to improve the mental health of incarcerated individuals and develop preventative skills for wellness within Mental Health Services.

Responsibilities

• Apply counseling interventions and psychotherapeutic techniques within the scope of applicable Business and Professions Code(s) and license
• Improve an incarcerated individual’s mental health
• Develop effective preventative skills and behaviors for wellness
• Work preventatively with the incarcerated population, including those not currently in the mental health delivery system
• Provide incarcerated patient access, outreach, and prevention wellness strategies

Requirements

• Ability to apply counseling interventions and psychotherapeutic techniques
• Adherence to Business and Professions Code(s) and license scope
