Claims Customer Service Representative

About This Role

This role is a Claims Customer Service Representative handling inbound calls related to existing homeowner claims, providing solutions, and documenting interactions for an IT services and consulting company.

Responsibilities

• Handle about 40-50 inbound calls per day pertaining to existing homeowner claims
• Navigate between multiple systems to find solutions for customers
• Research through the claim tool to provide accurate information to customers
• Handle escalated calls as needed
• Act as a liaison between Proctor, the homeowner, and the lender
• Update case notes in the Claim system for documentation
• Perform outbound calls when necessary

Requirements

• Working cellphone with service (for dual authentication)
• 1-2 years of Call Center Experience
• Ability to handle difficult conversations
• Efficient in using a Windows PC computer and navigating software systems
• Typing speed of at least 35 WPM
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Reliable transportation

Qualifications

• 1 to 2 years of Call Center Experience (preferably in escalations, claims, or insurance)

Nice to Have

• Insurance or mortgage experience
• Experience working with auto claims or any type of claims
• Experience working for Medicaid/Medicare
