Provide a safe, loving, and educational environment for children ranging from infants to 12 years old for Melaleuca team members. This role involves planning and implementing educational programs and ensuring the well-being of the children.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the care, safety and well being of children.
- Provide a loving environment.
- Set up physical environment to meet the needs of infants, preschool or school-aged children.
- Help plan an educational curriculum.
- Help provide weekly lesson plans to parents and childcare Manager.
- Participate in family activities, which include Christmas program, snacks with parents, summer picnic and parent appreciation nights.
- Attend monthly staff training meetings.
- Complete workshop training of 4 hours per year.
- Responsible for closing of facility, which includes room maintenance and locking of building.
Requirements
- Fingerprint clearance
- Criminal Record checks
- Organizational skills
- Demonstrated understanding of preschool and school-age children’s growth and development
- Ability to work with children warmly, calmly, and unhurriedly
- Ability to analyze problems and create solutions
- Ability to work independently and professionally
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive areas
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work under stress
- Strong creativity skills
- Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
