This role involves providing investigative and comprehensive case management for children experiencing abuse or neglect within the Georgia Division of Family and Children Services. The Case Manager will identify placement resources, coordinate out-of-home placements, and collaborate with the legal system to ensure child safety and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Access and record client and community resource information
- Assist in collecting evidence, interviewing witnesses, and preparing reports according to rules, regulations, state, and federal laws
- Assist in identifying placement resources for children within the foster care system
- Compile records and prepare reports; perform follow-up to determine the status of client's case
- Conduct home-visit evaluations for information gathering to be used in assessments
- Coordinate and monitor children in out-of-home placements and in-home interventions
- Learn to perform initial investigations of protective services referrals in determining the appropriateness of protective services intervention
- Learn to work in collaboration with legal system to ensure safety and achieve desired outcomes
- Maintain required documentation and complete reports
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
