Design and develop a variety of instructional and training materials for the Georgia Department of Human Services, focusing on e-learning and computer-based learning solutions for the Division of Child Support Services. This role involves managing stakeholder relationships and applying instructional design expertise to create engaging learning experiences.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop a variety of instructional and training materials, primarily e-learning/computer-based learning to an LMS
- Manage stakeholder relationships regarding instructional design needs, combining expertise in instructional design and technology
- Develop and design curriculum with focus on consistency, clarity, grammar, delivery medium, and evaluation
- Analyze, design, develop, and/or update on-demand courses and curricula using eLearning authoring software
- Manage the training lifecycle (analysis, inception, completion, delivery, evaluation) using ADDIE and/or Agile methodologies
- Design and deliver training as assigned by the Training Manager
- Create learning objectives, design documents, storyboards, scripts, and other learning deliverables
- Create and maintain instructional material templates, ensuring consistency across learning deliverables
- Edit instructional and supporting materials for grammar, clarity, consistency, and accuracy of content
- Coordinate, publish, and maintain training courses for Learning Management Systems (LMS) and/or other content management systems
Requirements
- Effective needs analysis, project management, and materials development skills
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment with strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design
- Proficient in proofreading and editing
- Experience mentoring, coaching, and instructing adult learners
- Experience in design, layout, and presentation techniques
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Suite and/or standard corporate software applications
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office suite
- Experience working with Office 365 tools, including SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Team
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Communications, English, or Public Relations from an accredited college or university
- 3 years of experience related to the area of assignment, or 1 year at the Business Support Analyst 2 level
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Technology, Business, Education, or a related field
- 3 years of experience in eLearning solutions, curriculum design, and/or on-demand courses
- Demonstrated experience in developing creative, innovative, and engaging eLearning materials
