Cheese Shop/Murray's Cheese Associate

About This Role

Support a full-service Murray's Cheese experience by cutting, wrapping, and merchandising cheese, engaging with customers through proactive service and tastings, and maintaining the shop's standards and product selection.

Responsibilities

• Cut, wrap, and merchandise cheese and related grocery items
• Actively demo products within the Murray's Cheese Shop, Deli, and other areas
• Engage in proactive customer service, including conversations and tastings with customers
• Participate in daily cheese tastings to develop product expertise
• Contribute to target sales and gross profit goals
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products
• Comply with Murray's operations manual, ensuring consistently fully stocked, fresh, signed, and rotated product selection
• Complete Murray's Basic Skills Training and Murray's Red Jacket Training
• Create and maintain the Murray's Boutique experience through education, service, cross-selling, merchandising, and promotion of designated products
• Perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation

Requirements

• Strong desire to learn and enthusiasm for the product
• Interest in, and openness to try, cheese daily
• Ability to easily convey ideas at the appropriate level based on audience
• Retail experience
• Passion for food and supportive of cheese business initiatives
• Ability to inspire and motivate customers
