This role will assist providers in performing office examinations and procedures for patients, manage patient flow, conduct diagnostic testing, and provide patient education within a dynamic healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist provider in performing office examinations and procedures
- Organize and manage clinic patient flow
- Gather and document patient screening data
- Perform in-office diagnostic testing (e.g., Xray’s, EKGs, spirometry)
- Assist with patient and family education
- Clean rooms and instruments
- Order and distribute supplies
- Schedule appointments and testing
- Triage phone calls and emails, handle physician correspondence, and manage insurance referrals
- Collaborate effectively with all members of the health care team and use EHR effectively
Requirements
- Graduation from a medical assistant program
- Certified Medical Assistant
- 1 year of relevant work experience
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year of relevant work experience after graduation from a medical assistant program
