The Medical Assistant performs patient care and administrative tasks under the direction of medical professionals, ensuring a safe environment for patients and staff. This role contributes to efficient daily operations and adheres to department policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient care tasks and procedures
- Perform administrative and clerical related tasks
- Provide an environment for safety; identify, address, and incorporate principles of safety for the patient, visitors, and employees
- Assess specific situations, consider alternatives, assist with action plans, and evaluate outcomes
- Utilize appropriate resources that are safe, effective, ethical, and fiscally responsible
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Less than a year of related experience
- Certified Medical Assistant OR Registered Medical Assistant OR Certified Clinical Medical Assistant OR Certified EMT (EMT-B, AEMT, or Paramedic) OR BLS within 90 days of hire date
Qualifications
