This Medical Assistant role at Catalyst Physician Group supports clinical operations and assists healthcare providers to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care and make a positive impact on patients' lives.
Responsibilities
- Manage patient rooming to efficiently meet daily appointment schedules
- Review presenting issue, visit history, orders, and update EMR appropriately
- Assist Physician or Advanced Practitioner with examinations or procedures
- Obtain vital signs and prep patient for visit
- Maintain fluency in medical terminology and medication refill protocols
- Assist with scheduling appointments, answering phones, and updating patient records
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and equipment
- Work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, clinic environment
- Appropriately escalate issues outside of existing protocols to meet patient needs
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism
Requirements
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Experience with medical EMR systems
- Knowledge of and adherence to OSHA and HIPAA rules and regulations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in a Primary Care office setting
- Athena EMR experience
- BLS with hands on training
