About This Role

The Catastrophe Risk Analyst will be a dependable and self-directed member of the Amwins Actuarial Department, responsible for organizing and analyzing data to support underwriting decisions. This role requires attention to detail, adaptability, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

  • Process and organize raw data into usable formats for underwriting analysis
  • Handle submissions of new account data in Microsoft Excel, ensuring accuracy and consistency
  • Collaborate with a team of analysts to manage shared workloads and meet deadlines
  • Prioritize tasks effectively and maintain a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment
  • Communicate clearly and concisely through written correspondence (email, Microsoft Teams)

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong data organization skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively within a standard workday
  • Strong attention to detail and basic reasoning skills for simplifying complex information
  • Reliable, adaptable, and comfortable working under deadlines
  • Excellent written communication skills
