Manage and execute key components of the new business and renewal insurance processes, including timeline management, exposure analysis, and negotiation of coverage terms, while collaborating with Client Advisors and carrier partners.
Responsibilities
- Maintain timeline and process during new business and renewal processes, covering exposure analysis, quote specifications, analysis, negotiation of coverage offers, and proposal presentation.
- Communicate effectively within the team (Client Advisors and Account Service Team) and with markets.
- Review insurance policies and contracts and make recommendations for improvement.
- Prepare property and casualty insurance submissions for new business and renewing accounts, including specifications, Acord applications, loss summaries, and exposure schedules.
- Analyze excel spreadsheets of prospect client exposure and/or loss data, and develop financial models for loss sensitive programs.
- Maintain familiarity and working relationship with various insurance companies and wholesalers.
- Handle confidential and non-routine information.
- Rate policies in carrier systems to assist in quoting and proposal development.
- Abide by and maintain all licensing requirements, including continuing education.
- Attend seminars, company meetings, carrier events, and educational activities to improve job expertise and product knowledge.
- Perform coverage gap analysis and deliver strategic coverage recommendations tailored to client risk profiles.
- Work independently and within a team on special, nonrecurring, and ongoing projects.
- Identify opportunities to engage Risk Resources for specialized expertise and partner to deliver tailored solutions for complex client needs.
Requirements
- 3-5 years relevant insurance experience, with an emphasis on middle to large market placements
- Current Property and Casualty insurance license
- Excellent phone etiquette, written and verbal communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and accept directions
- Proficiency with MS Office Products, including Excel and Word
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work
- Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment with strong customer service skills
- Experience with a broker/agent, including marketing large middle market accounts to carriers; excellent knowledge of the markets
- Strong knowledge of all basic applicable insurance coverages
- Proficient in creating proposal presentation documents
Qualifications
- 3-5 years relevant insurance experience, with an emphasis on middle to large market placements.

- Pursuit of a professional designation (CRM, CISR, CIC, AAI, ARM, CPCU)
- Experience with Epic
