Cardiology Ambulatory Nurse - RN

About This Role

Integrate with patients, families, and providers to deliver quality nursing care in an ambulatory cardiology setting. Responsibilities include patient assessments, documentation, order completion, and patient education, ensuring adherence to practice guidelines and standards.

Responsibilities

• Integrate with the patient, family, and provider in the care of the patient in the ambulatory setting
• Assess patients and document assessments
• Complete received orders according to defined practice guidelines and EHR protocols
• Assure delivery of quality nursing care for designated patients of PHI in accordance with patients’ needs, providers' orders, defined plan of care, policies, and standards of practice
• Perform direct/indirect patient care, result management, in-basket management, telephone triage, and patient education
• Incorporate multiple data sources (EHR, MyChart, etc.) to strengthen communication and collaboration for timely appropriate care
• Act in accordance with established policies and procedures, American Nurses Association Standards of Clinical Practice, Indiana Nurse Practice Act, and the ANA Code of Ethics

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (CCNE, ACEN, or CNEA accredited)
• Valid Indiana Registered Nurse nursing license
• CPR certification
• ACLS certification
• 2 years' experience in a medical setting
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Medical terminology background
• Pharmacology background

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• 2 years' experience in a medical setting, cardiology ideal

Nice to Have

• Experience in cardiology
• Basic knowledge of cardiac rhythms
• Essential computer skills
• Knowledge of electronic medical records
