About This Role

This role is responsible for providing quality pre-hospital care to patients of all ages, adhering to established medical standards and protocols. The Basic EMT will utilize proper techniques and follow guidelines set by the Indiana Department of Homeland Security - EMS Division and Parkview Health EMS Medical Director(s).

Responsibilities

• Assure the delivery of quality pre-hospital care to patients of all ages
• Utilize proper techniques and follow standards of care as established by Indiana Department of Homeland Security - EMS Division
• Adhere to standards of care as established by the Parkview Health EMS Medical Director(s)

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Meets Indiana State EMT-Basic guidelines
• Valid state EMT-Basic certification
• CPR certification
• Valid driver's license
• Must meet insurability requirements under Parkview Health vehicle and liability insurance policies
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Meets the physical requirements of the position
• Able to lift 100 pounds and assist with 300 pounds

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• One year experience preferred.
