About This Role

Provide emergency and non-emergency patient care as an EMT, ensuring compliance with State EMS rules and regulations. This role involves maintaining ambulance equipment, accurately completing reports, and upholding professional standards.

Responsibilities

Respond to all calls for service dispatched from the AmeriPro EMS communications center as directed
Provide care and treatment to patients according to company policy and medical director protocols
Ensure ambulance and all equipment are cleaned and checked daily, reporting any deficiencies immediately
Prepare and complete appropriate reports including Patient Care Reports (PCR), billing, exposure reports, and unit check-offs
Ensure unit and crewmembers adhere to AmeriPro EMS policies, procedures, guidelines, directives and standards
Maintain all company required licenses and certifications for an EMT position
Maintain a state of readiness and professionalism while on-duty and in company uniform
Demonstrate the ability to safely lift, transfer, and maneuver patients in and out of ambulances and facilities

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification
State specific Emergency Medical Technician certification / licensure in good standing
Current NREMT certification if applicable by state law
Current CPR: BLS certification
Valid state specific Drivers’ license
Successful completion of a comprehensive background check and drug screening
Strong people skills and proven ability to collaborate within a team
Proficient verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to comprehend and execute verbal and written instructions in English
FEMA IS certs: (IS-100; IS-200; IS-700; IS-800)

Qualifications

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification

Nice to Have

Previous experience working as an EMT or in a similar medical role
Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) training
International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) training
