Cardiac Cath Tech

About This Role

Administer roentgen rays and radioactive sources, operate X-ray equipment, and prepare patients for procedures in a Cardiac Cath Lab. Assist physicians during cardiac cath lab procedures, keeping them informed of patient vital signs and procedural needs.

Responsibilities

• Administer roentgen rays and radioactive source to patients
• Operate X-ray equipment
• Process images in the Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS)
• Prepare patient and supplies for all procedures
• Keep physicians informed of waveforms, pressures, EKG changes
• Assist physicians in all procedures performed in the Cardiac Cath Lab using imaging modalities
• Assist physicians in all procedures performed in the Cardiac Cath Lab using hemodynamic monitoring equipment
• Scrub as the assistant to the physician during procedures
• Take call on a rotating basis with a 30-minute call-back time

Qualifications

• As established by Radiologic Health Sciences of California to obtain license

Nice to Have

• Two years Cardiac Cath Lab experience
• ARRT certification
