Camp Supervisor

About This Role

Supervise and ensure the safety of participants and staff in community recreation programs at a County multipurpose recreation complex. This role involves program development, record keeping, and public interaction.

Responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive program of safety and supervision for the facility, program staff, and participants (ages 5-13)
• Generate assigned records and reports
• Deal with the public
• Perform related work as required

Requirements

• Maturity of judgment
• Proven leadership ability in teaching/leading recreational activities or summer recreation program work
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and push or pull heavy objects
• Ability to bend, stoop, and squat frequently
• Ability to communicate effectively using verbal, written and visual communication

Qualifications

• One (1) year of college or equivalent training/certifications related to the position
• Three (3) seasons of experience working in a summer recreation or recreation complex program, or equivalent substitution
