About This Role

Operate light vehicles and equipment to perform highway maintenance tasks, focusing on fire risk reduction through vegetation management and abatement.

Responsibilities

• Operate light vehicles and equipment requiring a Class C driver's license
• Perform tasks related to highway maintenance work
• Focus on fire risk reduction through vegetation management and abatement
• Utilize hand tools, power saws, and trimmers

Requirements

• Valid California Drivers License (CDL)
• Unrestricted Class C driver's license
• One year experience as Service Assistant (Maintenance) OR one year general laboring in construction/maintenance (or 8th grade education)

Qualifications

• One year experience in California State Service as a Service Assistant (Maintenance) OR one year general laboring work in construction or maintenance. Education equivalent to completion of eighth grade may substitute for experience.
