About This Role

This Business Development Associate role focuses on driving new business growth for Clarivate's Life Sciences & Healthcare team by identifying, qualifying, and advancing sales opportunities for data, analytics, and intelligence solutions. The associate will work closely with senior sales leaders to engage decision-makers and contribute to successful deal progression.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new sales opportunities through outbound calls, emails, and strategic follow-up on inbound leads
  • Engage senior decision-makers across life sciences and healthcare organizations to understand business challenges and priorities
  • Qualify prospects and collaborate with sales executives to advance opportunities toward close
  • Research target accounts, identify key stakeholders, and build informed outreach strategies
  • Maintain and expand a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities within your assigned territory
  • Support active deals by contributing insights, coordinating next steps, and helping drive momentum through the sales cycle
  • Accurately document activities, opportunities, and progress within Salesforce
  • Achieve activity, pipeline, and revenue-influencing targets aligned to quarterly goals

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
  • Comfort engaging senior-level stakeholders via phone, email, and virtual meetings
  • Proficiency with Salesforce (or similar tool) and MS Office Suite

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience

Nice to Have

  • Degree in sciences
  • Selling Software and Services into the Life Science and/or pharmaceutical sectors
