Lead and execute brand strategy and marketing tactics for a smaller brand or brand segment within the fishing outdoor recreation industry. This role focuses on increasing profitability and brand effectiveness based on consumer intimacy and segmentation needs.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior brand leadership and provide input into the development of brand strategy
- Lead and execute brand initiatives to grow brand equity and identity, and enhance consumer experience and loyalty
- Serve on cross-functional teams to create innovation strategies, briefs, platforms, and new product segments based on consumer insight and market research
- Develop, lead, and oversee the execution of comprehensive and fully integrated marketing programs
- Perform initial business case development, consumer positioning, and alignment to demand space
- Manage product packaging, design, and communication briefs
- Apply trade and consumer market research findings to identify trends and market opportunities
- Manage marketing insights/analytics, including consumer insights, competitive analysis, and market opportunities
- Evaluate brand and marketing strategy ROI and effectiveness using KPI analysis and reporting
- Collaborate with sales teams on planning and implementing sales programs and activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, sales or equivalent
- 5 years of experience in brand, marketing, and product development
- Advanced knowledge in branding, marketing strategy development, traditional and digital marketing, social media, sponsorship management and promotion, consumer behavior strategies, consumer segmentation and intimacy, and promotional analysis
- Experience and success in consumer intimacy and segmentation research
- Knowledge and skills in developing marketing campaigns and tactics, marketing communications, product positioning, packaging, and managing a marketing budget
- Demonstrated project management skills from concept to evaluation
- Demonstrated leadership skills to motivate and guide cross-functional teams
- Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience working in a deadline-oriented environment with high attention to detail and quality
- Experience with profit and loss management
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, sales or equivalent
- 5 years of experience in brand, marketing, and product development, including successfully executing brand initiatives and developing effective marketing plans
Nice to Have
- Proficiency in Adobe Suite of tools
- General understanding of HTML and other web-based applications
