About This Role

The Behavioral Health Clinical Operations Supervisor collaborates with leadership to ensure high-quality evidence-based programming, meeting all regulatory and accreditation standards. This role provides clinical supervision, conducts psychosocial assessments, and delivers graduate-level clinical interventions for diverse patient populations. They will also oversee daily operations of the behavioral health department and supervise a team of professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day oversight of the operations of the behavioral health department
  • Analyze business operations, financial metrics, industry trends, and strategic objectives as a key management member
  • Supervise a team of behavioral health professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship
  • Conduct regular staff meetings and performance evaluations, identifying areas for improvement and providing training
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of behavioral health services with patient care
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance the quality and efficiency of clinical services
  • Monitor and evaluate program outcomes and make recommendations for improvements
  • Serve as a resource for staff regarding clinical best practices, ethical considerations, and relevant regulations
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies
  • Conduct initial comprehensive patient and family psychosocial assessment and triage care accordingly

Requirements

  • Master's degree in social work or clinical Mental Counseling
  • Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
  • 3-5 years of clinical experience in behavioral health settings
  • 2 years of supervisory or management experience leading clinical teams
  • Experience in pediatric mental health settings
  • Experience in the clinical treatment of emotional and behavioral health impairments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Must meet Akron Children's Hospital Medical Staff Credentialing/Privileging criteria

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in social work or clinical Mental Counseling
  • 3-5 years of clinical experience in behavioral health settings, plus 2 years of supervisory or management experience

Nice to Have

  • LCDC II, LCDC III, or LICDC (for SUD positions)
  • Supervision endorsement from the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board
  • Experience working with electronic medical record software, such as EPIC
  • Experience providing clinical services through telehealth
  • Basic knowledge in interpreting operating dashboards and reports
