The Bakery/Deli Clerk will create an outstanding customer experience by preparing items, offering samples, and informing customers of specials. This role involves maintaining a safe and clean environment while assisting the department manager in achieving sales and profit goals.
Responsibilities
- Prepare items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment
- Offer product samples and inform customers of bakery and/or deli specials
- Provide customers with fresh products and correct portion sizes to prevent shrink
- Use all bakery equipment according to company guidelines
- Prepare foods according to food temperature logs and cooking instructions
- Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients according to recipes
- Adequately prepare, package, label, and inventory ingredients and merchandise
- Check product quality, review "sell by" dates, and take appropriate action
- Properly use kitchen equipment such as stove, computerized scale, fryer, steamer, and robot coupe
- Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise
Requirements
- Customer service skills

- Knowledge of basic math
