Manage Technical Program Managers and lead cross-functional teams to drive regional data center build projects for AWS Infrastructure Services. This role involves overseeing projects from design through deployment, focused on ensuring high standards for safety, security, and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Lead TPM reports and cross-functional teams to drive regional data center build projects
- Oversee projects from inception through design, implementation, testing, and deployment
- Facilitate technical whiteboard sessions to troubleshoot project implementation issues
- Remove barriers to project success
- Stand up cross-functional teams and establish trust with stakeholders across multiple time zones
- Manage capital budgets
- Eliminate non-value-add activity
- Design solutions and remove blockers
- Find creative ways to accelerate project delivery
Requirements
- 5+ years of project management (including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk and critical path management) experience
- 3+ years of team management experience
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbally
- Proficiency in project management tools, methodologies and techniques for all phases of the project lifecycle
- Demonstrated proficiency in core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality and risk management, reporting and metric development/tracking
- Proficiency with MS Office, MS Project and MS SharePoint
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or additional technical experience is required
- 5+ years of project management experience and 3+ years leading 5+ person teams delivering highly technical initiatives.
Nice to Have
- Experience in managing data center infrastructure deployments
- Background in architecture/design, mechanical/electrical engineering, software/hardware engineering, data center infrastructure/operations, and/or construction
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- Experience with SQL, AI tool development, and systems integration
