Support sophisticated enterprise environments across Dallas as an experienced AV Service Technician, focusing on advanced troubleshooting, system optimization, and technical problem-solving. This role involves autonomous field work with cutting-edge enterprise AV systems.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve advanced issues across Crestron and AMX control systems
- Commission, debug, and optimize newly deployed AV solutions
- Reverse-engineer and modernize legacy AV systems
- Support enterprise video conferencing platforms (Cisco, Poly, Logitech)
- Maintain and tune audio DSP systems (Biamp, QSC)
- Support AV-over-IP networks, switching infrastructure, and signal flow
- Service video walls and large-format displays (Planar, LG, Samsung, Barco, Unilumen)
- Perform preventative maintenance and detailed system assessments
- Recommend equipment upgrades and long-term solutions
- Produce clean, professional service documentation
- Act as a trusted technical partner for enterprise clients
- Mentor junior and mid-level technicians when needed
Requirements
- 7-8+ years of AV integration and/or AV field service experience
- Deep hands-on experience with Crestron and AMX
- Strong commissioning, debugging, and diagnostic skills
- Intermediate to advanced AV networking expertise
- Advanced understanding of signal flow and low-voltage concepts
- Cabling expertise (Cat6, crimping, soldering, connectors)
- Proficiency using a multimeter for testing and troubleshooting
- Comfortable working independently in client-facing environments
- Ability to manage multiple service priorities without oversight
- Own basic AV hand tools
- Minimum 3 years of field service experience
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders/scaffolding, and work in tight or elevated spaces
Qualifications
- Two-year technical degree or equivalent real-world experience
- 7-8+ years of AV integration and/or AV field service experience, with a minimum of 3 years of field service experience
Nice to Have
- Experience with AVoIP environments
- Video wall and digital signage expertise
- Leadership or mentoring experience
