About This Role

Support sophisticated enterprise environments across Dallas as an experienced AV Service Technician, focusing on advanced troubleshooting, system optimization, and technical problem-solving. This role involves autonomous field work with cutting-edge enterprise AV systems.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve advanced issues across Crestron and AMX control systems
  • Commission, debug, and optimize newly deployed AV solutions
  • Reverse-engineer and modernize legacy AV systems
  • Support enterprise video conferencing platforms (Cisco, Poly, Logitech)
  • Maintain and tune audio DSP systems (Biamp, QSC)
  • Support AV-over-IP networks, switching infrastructure, and signal flow
  • Service video walls and large-format displays (Planar, LG, Samsung, Barco, Unilumen)
  • Perform preventative maintenance and detailed system assessments
  • Recommend equipment upgrades and long-term solutions
  • Produce clean, professional service documentation
  • Act as a trusted technical partner for enterprise clients
  • Mentor junior and mid-level technicians when needed

Requirements

  • 7-8+ years of AV integration and/or AV field service experience
  • Deep hands-on experience with Crestron and AMX
  • Strong commissioning, debugging, and diagnostic skills
  • Intermediate to advanced AV networking expertise
  • Advanced understanding of signal flow and low-voltage concepts
  • Cabling expertise (Cat6, crimping, soldering, connectors)
  • Proficiency using a multimeter for testing and troubleshooting
  • Comfortable working independently in client-facing environments
  • Ability to manage multiple service priorities without oversight
  • Own basic AV hand tools
  • Minimum 3 years of field service experience
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders/scaffolding, and work in tight or elevated spaces

Qualifications

  • Two-year technical degree or equivalent real-world experience
  • 7-8+ years of AV integration and/or AV field service experience, with a minimum of 3 years of field service experience

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AVoIP environments
  • Video wall and digital signage expertise
  • Leadership or mentoring experience
