Automotive Detailer

About This Role

The Automotive Detailer is responsible for thoroughly cleaning, detailing, and preparing vehicles for presentation to potential buyers, ensuring an enhanced overall appearance and appeal of the inventory.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles for auction by performing thorough cleaning and detailing services, including washing, waxing, buffing, and vacuuming interiors and exteriors.
• Clean and sanitize vehicle interiors, including upholstery, carpets, dashboards, and windows using appropriate products.
• Wash and polish vehicle exteriors to remove dirt, grime, and debris, and restore shine and luster to paint surfaces.
• Perform paint correction and touch-up services to address minor imperfections, scratches, and blemishes.
• Perform additional detailing services as needed, such as engine bay cleaning, wheel and tire cleaning, and trim restoration.
• Conduct thorough inspections of completed work to ensure vehicles meet Copart's standards for cleanliness and presentation.
• Coordinate with Vehicle Inspectors, Photographers, and Auction Coordinators to prioritize tasks and ensure efficient workflow.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures for a safe and clean working environment, including proper handling of chemicals and PPE.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of automotive cleaning products, equipment, and techniques
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering excellence
• Physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in automotive detailing, car washing, or related work preferred
