Cosmetic Inspector

About This Role

As a Vehicle Cosmetic Inspector, you will meticulously inspect vehicles for cosmetic damages, accurately document findings, and contribute to the overall efficiency and success of the auction process.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough visual inspections of vehicles to identify and document cosmetic damages, including scratches, dents, paint imperfections, and other aesthetic flaws
• Accurately record inspection findings using Copart's proprietary software systems
• Capture high-quality photographs of vehicles, highlighting both their strengths and any cosmetic imperfections
• Maintain strict adherence to Copart's standards and guidelines for cosmetic inspections
• Work closely with other team members to facilitate seamless communication and support efficient auction operations
• Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing inquiries and concerns related to vehicle condition and cosmetic discrepancies
• Actively participate in training sessions and educational opportunities to enhance knowledge and proficiency in vehicle inspection techniques

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficiency in using digital photography equipment
• Basic computer skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately assess and document cosmetic damages
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-focused mindset
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and willingness to collaborate as part of a dynamic team

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in automotive detailing, bodywork, or cosmetic inspection strongly preferred.

Nice to Have

• Additional education or certification in automotive technology or related field
